Tour the Grounds

wpe1.gif (16682 bytes) The White River offers some of Vermont's best trout fishing or just the best place to relax on a warm summer day.  State hunting and fishing licenses are sold nearby. White tail deer, black bear and small game are abundant. Take a tour of the Federal Salmon Hatchery located only a couple of miles away.

Recreation facilities include a game room with Ping-Pong, billiards, juke box and video machines. Outside, we have basketball, volleyball, horseshoes, badminton, shuffle board, children's playground, swimming, tubing (rentals), hiking or just "fun in the sun."

Try just relaxing while inner tubing down the river watching trout swim below. Must be 18 years old to rent tubes with a drivers license. Another popular summertime activity is jumping off the cliffs into the "old swimming hole".

Our country store is open daily for your convenience and offers a variety of items such as cheese, milk, bread, eggs, crackers, wine, beer, munchies and more. In case you forget something, the store carries camping & cooking gear, towels, hats, shirts, and souvenirs.

The park includes over 100 sites, with fire rings and picnic tables. Some are tent sites, others offer electric, water & sewer hookups located on 21 acres of secluded woods, spacious grassy sites or on the water's edge .

Enjoy our bonfires and family oriented "Special Events", which are our specialty at White River Valley.

Acres of woodland surround the park and are ideally suited for hiking. Vermont's famous scenic views and old logging roads beckon. Ask in the office for a free map of local hiking routes starting right from the campground.

Many of our campers stay with us all season. The beauty of Vermont, special rates, and never worrying about reservations...  Now that's relaxing. If you're thinking about seasonal camping call us for more information and rates.

Enjoy wooded campsites alongside the beautiful White River in the heart of the Green Mountains. In the spring and early summer swift water canoeing challenges you (bring your own canoe); then warmer weather brings wading, swimming and jumping off the ledges.
